This is my corner of the internet where I share my thoughts about current events, the future, startups, tech, finance, building things, and whatever else is on my mind.

Currently, I am focused on two things: creating a new AI company and building a generational wealth system to pass on to my kids.

I am a founder, investor, engineer, and marketer.

I previously built and sold an analytics ad-tech startup. I started as a self-taught developer and eventually went back to complete my degrees in computer science with a focus on AI and ML. I feel extremely lucky. My parents were immigrant refugees who escaped a war and came to America with absolutely nothing except the clothes on their backs. We grew up extremely poor. Yet despite all the hardships along the way, I managed to marry the most amazing woman, have four awesome kids, build up a career I absolutely love and adore, have an incredible group of friends anyone could have asked for, and live out a wonderful life.

Originally from Portland, Oregon, I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for nearly a decade before moving back north and settling in the Greater Seattle Area.

When I'm not working, spending time with family and friends, or writing code, I enjoy reading (bookshelf), catching up on the news (betternews), and researching. Though I don't do them often enough, my hobbies include traveling, snowboarding (though I want to try ODR Skis), woodworking, 3D printing, and tinkering with electronics.
